  • Road Design

    • Hermon Road Extension and Upgrade, State of Alaska DOT&PF Central Region, Wasilla, Alaska

      • This project will upgrade Hermon Road north of the Parks Highway to arterial standards and extend it to intersect with the Palmer- Wasilla Highway. Non-motorized facilities will be designed and constructed. The project involves working with the Matanuska-Susitna Borough and the City of Wasilla to deliver a project that improves the transportation system and meets the needs of the community.

      • Staff Transportation Engineer responsible for road design, development of plans/ AutoCAD drafting, and quantities.

    • Aleutian Homes Phase VII-Hemlock, City of Kodiak, Kodiak, Alaska

      • The project involves upgrading local streets, storm, sewer and water systems in Kodiak. The project involves working with the City of Kodiak and tying into existing utilities and the previous phases of the project.

      • Staff Transportation Engineer responsible for design, development of plans/ AutoCAD drafting, and quantities. Developed pipe networks for Hydrology.

    • Knik-Goose Bay Road Reconstruction, State of Alaska DOT&PF Central Region, Wasilla, Alaska

      • This reconstructing project for the portion on Knik-Goose Bay Road (KGB) between Vine Road and Settler's Bay to a four-lane divided roadway with turn pockets, access control, lighting, drainage, and other improvements.

      • Staff Transportation Designer responsible for assisting with design, development of plans/ AutoCAD drafting, and quantities.

    • Seward Highway Milepost 105-109.5 Windy Corner/ Rainbow Point, State of Alaska DOT&PF Central Region, Anchorage, Alaska

      • The objective of the Windy Corner project is to implement safety upgrades and improve traffic operations on the Seward Highway by realigning and dividing the highway, realigning the railroad, and adding auxiliary lanes for accelerating, decelerating, and turning traffic. This road segment has a historically high crash rate and does not meet current design standards for this type of facility. The new alignment will create space for new roadside recreational facilities and wildlife viewing areas, including parking and walkways.

    • Earthquake Area Repairs (Mat-Su, Glenn Highway, and Kenai), State of Alaska DOT&PF Central Region

      • The project consisted of several road sites in the Mat-Su region that required repair from the 7.0 November 2018 Earthquake.

    • O'Malley Road Reconstruction Phase II, State of Alaska DOT&PF Central Region, Anchorage, Alaska

      • This project is the second phase of a project to reconstruct O'Malley Road between the Seward Highway and Hillside Drive. The purpose of this project is to improve roadway mobility and safety as well as bring it up to current design standards.

    • Old Seward Highway - Dimond to Dowling Pavement Preservation, State of Alaska DOT&PF Central Region, Anchorage, Alaska

      • This is a Pavement Preservation project which included Milling and paving, upgrading curb ramps to comply with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards, Improvements to the road/pathway subgrade, drainage improvements,
        and pedestrian improvements (including ADA improvements).

      • Staff Transportation Designer responsible for assisting with design.

    • Spruce Street Extension/Upgrade Dowling Road to 68th Avenue, Municipality of Anchorage, Anchorage. Alaska

      • The scope of this project is to extend Spruce Street from East Dowling Road to East 64th Avenue and to upgrade the existing stretch of Spruce Street between East 64th and East 68th Avenues. The goals of this project are to reduce through traffic on neighborhood streets, increase connectivity within the road network, improve response times for emergency vehicles, and improve pedestrian facilities.

      • Staff Transportation Designer responsible for assisting with design.

  • Construction Management/ Project Inspection

    • SWPPP Seward Highway 75-90 - Portage Glacier Road, State of Alaska DOT&PF Central Region, Girdwood, Alaska

      • This project includes upgrading the Seward Highway from milepost 90 (Girdwood intersection) to 75 (bottom of Turnagain Pass) by rehabilitating the road, straightening curves in high-accident locations, improving intersections, and allowing for more passing opportunities with the addition of more passing lanes.

      • Field Engineer responsible for performing Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) inspections, contractor review or SWPPP activities, and other construction duties.

    • SWPPP-Birchwood Airport, State of Alaska DOT&PF Central Region, Chugiak, Alaska

      • This was a pavement preservation project on the taxiway at the Birchwood Airport.

      • Field Engineer responsible for performing Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) inspections, contractor review or SWPPP activities, and other construction duties.

    • Napakiak Community Streets Project, Association of Village Council Presidents, Napakiak, Alaska

      • The project involved improvement and reconstruction 2.6 miles of existing community streets and new construction of 0.4 miles of road. Project also included installation of culverts, improved drainage, new signage, and dust palliative.

      • Staff Engineer responsible for providing professional planning, development, and force account construction management services, planning construction activities, developing takeoffs, developing construction plans and documents such as Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), Quality Control Plan, Traffic Control Plan, and Safety Plan.

      • Project Field Engineer during construction responsible for monitoring construction progress, providing on-site engineering services, tracking material quantities, submitting daily reports, providing quality control inspections, creating and updating project schedules/budgets, implementing and inspecting Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), Quality Control Plan, Traffic Control Plan, and Safety Plan.

    • Adak Water and Sewer Downsizing, City of Adak, Adak, Alaska

      • The project involved downsizing of existing water system infrastructure for abandoned subdivisions and installation of new water system components.

      • Project Field Engineer responsible for providing on-site engineering services, monitoring construction progress, tracking material quantities, submitting daily reports, providing quality assurance inspections, and recording pressure and water quality test. Also created Record Drawings after construction.

    • Port of Nome – Middle Dock Construction Administration, City of Nome, Nome, Alaska

      • The project involved expansion of the Port of Nome Harbor capacity by adding a third dock to serve additional vessels.

      • Owner’s Representative and Construction Inspector responsible for providing on-site engineering services, monitoring construction progress, tracking material quantities, submitting daily reports, and providing quality assurance inspections.

    • New Stuyahok Landfill Road Construction Administration, New Stuyahok Village Council, New Stuyahok, Alaska

      • The project involved the rebuilding a 0.5 miles of road to the New Stuyahok landfill. Project also included installation of culverts, improved drainage, and new signage.

      • Construction Inspector responsible for providing on-site engineering services, monitoring construction progress, tracking material quantities, submitting daily reports, and providing quality assurance inspections.

  • Road Design

    • Kalskag Cemetery Road, Native Village of Kalskag, Kalskag, Alaska

      • The project involved the design of a 0.6-mile new road, pedestrian path, parking lot, and transit building at the location of the new Kalskag cemetery.

      • Staff Civil Engineer responsible for assisting with design, writing construction specifications, Hydrology Report, Design Study Report, Geotechnical Report, and Environmental Assessment.

    • Shepard Point Oil Spill Response Facility, Port, and Connecting Road, Native Village of Eyak, Cordova, Alaska

      • The project involved the design of 4.5 miles of new road with three significant bridges, 19 streams requiring culverts, construction of a 3.1 acre upland staging area, a deep-water docking facility, and a small boat launch ramp with support facilities. Project also included extensive tree clearing and rock blasting.

      • The project involved updating the Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP), assisting with Tribal Transportation needs, and adding inventory to the Road Inventory Field Data System (RIFDS).

      • Project involved design of the Nome monofill expansion by relocated an existing berm, improved drainage, updated the Operations and Maintenance Plan, and permit renewal.

    • Teller Water Source and Wastewater Improvements, Village Safe Water, Teller, Alaska

      • Project involved the development of preliminary engineering reports and the design of water supply improvements and sewer improvements. Project also includes a new infiltration gallery, raw water impoundment, raw water main replacement, and development of a new wastewater lagoon for the community.

    • Mekoryuk Reindeer Revitalization Project, Native Village of Mekoryuk, Mekoryuk, Alaska

      • The project involved providing Civil and Structural Engineering services for the replacement of the former reindeer processing facility using the existing footprint from the prior building, and preserved the foundation elements for the new facility.

      • Responsible for assisting with the design and drafting of the structural engineering components.
